The International Sport Film Festival comes to Campitello Matese: two days of cinema and sport
On 10 and 11 August at La Piramide in Campitello Matese (San Massimo, Campobasso): sports-themed screenings and encounters with Michele D’Aversa, Stefano Ciallella and representatives of Campobasso FC
The International Sport Film Festival comes to Campitello Matese for a special preview of its fifth edition. The event takes place on Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 August 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m., at La Piramide, with two afternoons devoted to sports cinema, encounters and sharing sport’s most authentic values.
Organised in collaboration with the Municipality of San Massimo, led by Mayor Alfonso Leggieri, and included in the 2026 summer programme for San Massimo and Campitello Matese, the initiative is one of the new additions to the lead-up to ISFF, scheduled for 23–28 November in Castellammare di Stabia.
The two days will feature sports-themed audiovisual works selected from films in competition and those presented at previous Festival editions. Cinema will become a means of telling stories of commitment, friendship, inclusion and participation, bringing audiences closer to sport and its different disciplines.
10 August: an encounter with Michele D’Aversa
The first day will feature Michele D’Aversa, a FISI Level II STF alpine skiing coach. Drawing on his own experiences, D’Aversa will introduce audiences to alpine skiing and the world of winter sports, which are deeply connected to Campitello Matese’s history and tourism identity.
The encounter will also be an opportunity to raise awareness among adults and young people of the importance of physical activity and the chance to discover a discipline that brings together sport, nature and the local area.
11 August: Stefano Ciallella and Campobasso FC
The second event, scheduled for Tuesday 11 August, will explore different experiences from the sporting world.
The day’s guest will be Stefano Ciallella, Technical Director of the Fiamme Azzurre Para-Athletics section. He will share insights into Paralympic sport and the values of inclusion, determination and pushing beyond personal limits.
Campobasso FC will also be represented by General Manager Giuseppe Praticò, Marketing Director and Social Media Manager Andrea Zita, and several first-team players. The discussion with the public will present football not only as competition, but also as a means of bringing people together, personal growth and belonging to a community.
Weather permitting, the programme may continue into the evening with further outdoor screenings of sports films, short films and documentaries.
The Campitello Matese preview confirms the International Sport Film Festival’s commitment to bringing sports cinema to new places and communities, creating encounters that promote sport, audiovisual culture, friendship and inclusion.
The International Sport Film Festival is organised by Parallax Vision ETS and directed by Nicola D’Auria and Ciro Sorrentino. The preview takes place with support from Regione Campania under Regional Law 30/2016 and from Film Commission Regione Campania.
