The International Sport Film Festival returns to Castellammare
From 24 to 29 November, Castellammare di Stabia once again becomes the capital of sports cinema with the fourth edition of the International Sport Film Festival. For an entire week, the city will become a lively meeting point for cinema, sport and culture, hosting screenings and events at several venues: Supercinema, Circolo della Legalità, the Banca Stabiese Conference Hall and Nexus Maximall in Torre Annunziata. Audiences will be able to watch finalist works from around the world, including films, documentaries and short films devoted to sport in all its forms.
Special events and themed meetings
Alongside the screenings, ISFF offers a rich programme of initiatives open to the public.
On 25 November at 3:30 pm, at the Banca Stabiese Conference Hall, the conference “Women, Sport and Rights”, organised in collaboration with the Equal Opportunities Committee and the Torre Annunziata Bar Council, will take place. It will be an opportunity to reflect on equality, protection and responsibility in sport through institutional, legal and technical contributions.
Meeting with actor and director Fabio Massa
On 26 November at 5:30 pm, Circolo della Legalità will host a conversation with Fabio Massa, actor and director, who will share experiences and behind-the-scenes accounts of film production, screenwriting and directing.
Laura Gambacorta and Table Tennis between Europe and China
On 27 November at 2:00 pm, also at Circolo della Legalità, Laura Gambacorta, National Masters 50 champion and European runner-up, will be the focus. The meeting includes a documentary on mental preparation in international table tennis, followed by a rally session with the champion.
FIDAL conference: The future of Italian athletics
On 27 November at 6:30 pm, Supercinema will host the national FIDAL conference, with Antonio La Torre, technical director of the national athletics team, and Sandro Donati, head of FIDAL coaches’ training. An in-depth discussion on the outlook for Italian athletics and the challenges of recent years.
Campania Award for Gianluca Vitiello
On 28 November at 7:30 pm, Nexus Cinema Maximall in Pompei will host the presentation of the Campania Award to Gianluca Vitiello, Radio Deejay presenter. The award celebrates figures who help promote Campania’s culture and sport nationally and internationally.
First-aid course with Protezione Civile R.O.S.S.
To close the week, on 29 November at 11:00 am, Circolo della Legalità will host a free training session dedicated to first-aid techniques, led by Protezione Civile R.O.S.S., chaired by Giuseppe Coda.
